Description

Level 3 Bachata is for students who are ready to move beyond intermediate foundations and step into a more advanced style of Bachata. A partner is not required, and classes are taught in a supportive, focused and encouraging environment with clear, step by step instruction.

This level is not open to beginners. To join Level 3, students must be confident with all Level 2 Bachata material. This includes strong lead and follow technique, consistent timing, comfort with turn patterns, and the ability to apply skills confidently in both class and social dancing.

Level 3 builds on Level 2 by introducing significantly more complex variations of existing movements, along with an expanded range of new material. Patterns become more layered, transitions more fluid, and technique more demanding. This level requires control, balance and a higher level of body awareness.

This is the level where students begin to learn the introductory steps of Sensual Bachata. You will start working with body movement, including body waves, S-waves, isolations and controlled use of momentum, while learning how to connect these movements naturally to the music. Spins become more technical, with a focus on balance, spotting and stability, and turn patterns increase in complexity.

Level 3 also places a strong emphasis on musical understanding. You will learn how to recognise changes in the music and reflect them through your movement, timing and energy rather than dancing the same way throughout a song.

Moving from Level 2 to Level 3 can feel like stepping into a new style of dancing, but you are fully supported throughout the process. Progression at this level comes from consistency, patience and regular practice.

To join Level 3, students must have completed all three Level 2 Bachata courses consecutively and feel confident with the material and technique taught. If you are coming from another school or are unsure of your level, please contact us or arrange a dance with one of our Bachata teachers so we can help place you correctly.
